About Michael Toohey
Michael Toohey grew up in Southeast Michigan but moved to Texas as soon as he could. He attended the University of Dallas on a full National Merit Scholarship and earned his Master’s in Education while teaching history at Rowlett High School (Rolwett, TX). There he specialized in working with students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism spectrum disorders. He also has considerable experience with AP students, gifted and talented, and everything in between.
He is the founder of Michael Toohey College Prep ( mtcollegeprep.com). Students who complete his tutoring program average over 220 point increases on the SAT.
He is married with four daughters, two cats, and 8 chickens. When he’s not spending time with his girls, he loves helping students achieve their college admissions goals and helping families save tens-of-thousands in academic scholarships!
