About Ed Rivet
Mr. Rivet teaches government. Ed Rivet earned a BS in Pre-Law and Public Policy and a Master’s in Public Administration from Michigan State University.
He served as a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives and 30 years as the Right to Life of Michigan’s Legislative Director. He is currently the executive director of a policy advocacy organization.
Mr. Rivet has written and helped enact dozens of laws regarding abortion, adoption, the nation’s first complete ban on human cloning, and banning assisted suicide. Mr. Rivet was the director of two statewide, record-setting citizen petition drives, and has worked on political campaigns every election for 50 years (since he was a kid).
With countless media interviews, Mr. Rivet has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and live interviews on CNN and Good Morning America. He also hosted a live current events/news program weeknights on the local “talk radio” station.

Mr. Rivet was the director of the state of Michigan’s largest all-volunteer citizen petition drive, which also was the state’s most accurate petition drive with 97.3% valid signatures. With countless media interviews, Mr. Rivet appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and live interviews on CNN and Good Morning America.
