Saxon 5/4 with Jean Hoeft (Daily Lessons) 1st edition

This math course will set the stage for your student's middle school math experience. Students learn all basics skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as well as using these skills with two- three- and larger numbers. Great emphasis is put on mental math (essential skills!) rounding, as well as estimating. In geometry they will begin using capacity, measuring lengths of segments, identifying polygons and determining similar and congruent figures. Probability is also learned with the end of the course beginning fraction work.
