Essential Economics

Key microeconomic and macroeconomic terminology and principles will be explained. More specifically, the course will examine how consumer demand effects the prices and supply of goods and services, how corporate purchasing and production-related decisions coalesce. Moreover, the class will explore factors that drive the national economy, such as unemployment rates, gross domestic product (GDP), overall price levels, and inflation. American fiscal policy and the function of the Federal Reserve Bank will be also be described.
