Spanish III, Part Two

Grow confident in Spanish through this college preparatory course. With only 20 students in your class, and additional pre-recorded lectures, your classroom time will be especially engaging and fruitful.

Total classes: 12 live classes (plus extra recorded lessons)

Prerequisite: Spanish III, part one or equivalent

Suggested grade level: 8th to 12th

Suggested credit: One full semester Foreign Language or Spanish

Description

In this course, students will learn the past tense of irregular verbs, the imperfect tense of regular and irregular verbs and reflexive verbs along with grammar concepts such as the use of por and para , prepositions, the infinitive, etc. As a complement to the class in real time, students will have the opportunity to view a recorded class that will include exercises in new vocabulary and pronunciation practice. Also, students will have the opportunity to listen to and read writings in Spanish.

Week 2: Some uses of prepositions por and para

Week 3: Passive Voice

Week 4: Conditional

Week 5: Imperfect Subjunctive

Week 6: Conjunctions followed by subjunctive or indicative sentences

Week 7: Present Perfect Subjunctive

Week 8: Subjunctive with expressions of doubt

Week 9: Command Form and Subjunctive

Week 10: Expressing Certainty, belief and knowledge

Week 11: Review I

Week 12: Review II

Materials and Homework

Course Materials: Mrs. Schmitt will provide course materials for FREE. There is nothing to purchase.

Homework: Each week students will be required to learn a list of vocabulary words and to watch a tutorial video about the grammar topic and complete a quiz. Other assignments will help them practice and deepen their skills in listening, speaking, and reading in Spanish.

During the live virtual class, students will have the opportunity to practice the weekly topic with their classmates. Students should assign at least one hour every day to practice their Spanish.
