Science
Middle School Life Science, Part One

Give your middle school student the basics of life science and human biology. This semester covers anatomy and all the major body systems (with the exception of the reproductive system). In the following semester, we will explore animals, plants, & more.

Total classes: 12

Prerequisite: None

Suggested grade level: 6th to 8th grade

Suggested credit: One full semester Science or Life Science

Special Notes: All course materials are provided FREE by the instructor. Due to the popularity of this course, it is offered twice. Choose the day & time that works best for your homeschool. This is Part One of a two-part course. Students are expected to also register for Part Two in the Spring.

Description

In Middle School Life Science, students are expected to achieve various objectives and lay a solid foundation for high school science and beyond. Topics will include human biology, animals, plants, and more. Part One of this course covers the basics of the human body, system by system. We will focus more on anatomy, though basic physiology is covered.

Note: The reproductive system is NOT covered in this middle school course.

Materials and Homework

Course Materials: All materials are supplied FREE by the instructor.

Homework: Expect to spend approximately one hour per week preparing for the live class. The sequence of events will be:

1. Write the provided vocabulary words in your notebook.

2. Come to class.

3. Take the weekly computer-graded quiz.
