Middle School Conversational Spanish, Part One

Join this middle school Conversational Spanish course and learn Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation that allows you to begin to speak the language. Learn greetings, farewells, numbers, dates, and more!

Total classes: 12

Prerequisite: Willingness to learn

Suggested grade level: 6th to 8th grade

Suggested credit: One full semester Spanish or Foreign Language

Special Notes: Course materials are provided FREE. This course only takes 20 students; therefore, we recommend registering early. In addition to the 12 live classes, there are 8 supplemental recorded lectures. Due to the popularity of this course, it is offered at two different times. Choose the one that works best for your family homeschool. This is Part One of a two-part course. Students are expected to register for Part Two in the spring.

Description

In this course, students will be taught basic vocabulary with an emphasis on simple verb conjugation and pronunciation. This class will lay the necessary groundwork that acts as the building blocks of learning a new language. By the end of this course, students will be able to form basic sentences, conjugate verbs in present tense, and have the tools to conduct themselves through basic conversations.

Section 9 – Telling Time & Conjugation of -ar Verbs

Section 10 – Time, Schedule, & Conjugation of -ar Verbs

Section 11 – How to Form Questions

Section 12 – Review of previously learned vocabulary and Conjugation of -ar verbs

Materials and Homework

Course Materials: All course materials are provided FREE by the instructor. A Spanish/English dictionary is recommended, as well as a notebook and folder for the class.

Homework: Students will be expected to spend about 3 to 5 hours per week studying outside of weekly classes. This is not meant to discourage students. Simply put, repetition is key when learning any new language. Audio files will be expected to be submitted to the teacher.
