Professor Pearce will lead the class through the history of Catholic England, from the 1st to the 21st centuries, using his book as the course text. Writing “Faith of Our Fathers” was a real labour of patriotic love for Prof. Pearce. He charts the history of “true” England, which is to say the England which has been true to the Faith.

Materials and Homework

Course materials: Faith of Our Fathers: A History of True England by Joseph Pearce (Ignatius Press).

Homework: Read the assigned work before each class. Review and take the weekly quiz. Quizzes are auto-graded by the computer for immediate feedback. Expect to spend approximately 2 hours per week outside of class on coursework.
