Prerequisite: A love of Minecraft and a desire to learn coding. Make sure you own the required hardware (see Course Materials).

Materials and Homework
Course materials: You will need to register for both a parent and student Tynker account (the parent authorizes the courses). You can purchase an annual plan to suit the needs for this course for $15/month or $180/year.
Create the parent account first, and then authorize your child to take the following courses: Minecraft Mod 1, Minecraft Mod 2, Mind Crafters, Game Design 1, and Game Design 2.
You will also need to purchase Minecraft Java Edition for $26.95 from https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/
Note: This is PC or Mac-based and will not work on a Chromebook. Please check the system requirements to ensure that you have the needed hardware. More information about system requirements can be found here.
Homework: Students can expect to spend between 30 to 90 minutes 4 days per week working on their coding creations and submitting them for grading on the Moodle site. A daily schedule will be provided.
