Note: This class is very technical. Make sure you have PowerPoint installed so you can reference what we discuss in class. Taking notes will be very helpful, but you will definitely be able to cross-reference them with the actual program. I recommend going into PowerPoint and fooling around with the different options while referencing your notes.
Day One: Basic Functionality: Understanding the basic menu options and functions of PowerPoint.
Day Two: Themes and Transitions: Utilizing themes, transitions, and animations.
Day Three: Advanced Functionality: Some of the more advanced features of PowerPoint that will give your presentation a special polish.
Day Four: Avoiding Pitfalls: Common mess ups people make with PowerPoint and how to avoid them.
Course Materials: PowerPoint installed on your home computer. All other materials provided by the instructor.
Homework: Daily practice and a final project. Estimated time: 6 hours for the week.
