This course will guide students through the history of the ancient world from Israel through the conversion of Rome with an emphasis on how the cultures of the classical world set the stage for the coming of Christ. Particular focus will be on ancient Persia, Greece, and Rome. Students will also study the characteristics of the Early Church and follow the growth of Christianity through the Roman persecutions to the conversion of Constantine.
