The second semester of the very thorough Algebra 1 course covers methods of factoring, quadratics, nonlinear functions and applications of data analysis and probability. We continue to discuss how algebra is used in adult life and the importance of a solid algebra foundation.

Course Materials: Sadlier-Oxford Algebra 1 Sourcebook (ISBN 0821582097) and Sadlier-Oxford Algebra 1 Practice Book (ISBN 0821582291). Please check Amazon and other sellers for used copies of the textbook. Other materials include graph paper, ruler, and TI-83 or above (or similar) not required but may be helpful.
Homework: Daily assignments (aside from test days) taking 20-30 minutes, with weekly quizzes, and tests occurring every week to two weeks.
