The History of Japan will trace the development of the Japanese nation and culture from remote antiquity to the modern age. Students will learn about the cultural and political development of the Japanese nation, as well as notable persons, battles, and events that were instrumental to the formation of Japan.

However, picture books can still be enjoyed by teens (even if they won't admit to it). A beautifully illustrated picture book is delightful to enjoy at any age. Honestly, I personally love a well-written, well-illustrated picture book.

We often associate coloring and crayons with little children. However, coloring with older children, including teenss, can not only build family bonds but also be an academic pursuit.

This is just another example of how you can take an eclectic approach to our online classes to make them work for your schedule. Mixing and matching a few summer courses can really add up; if you managed to take a semester's worth of courses every summer, you could graduate high school an entire semester early!

Resting and leisure are important parts of education, so we do not suggest you plow through the summer months without any sort of let up. If you do homeschool during the summer, I recommend homeschooling "light."
