Quintessential MS Mathematics: Gamified Level 7, Part Two

Gamification brings Math alive! During the heart of the Middle School years, fostering a love for the fascinating world of mathematics is vitally important. This course takes students on Quests to build 7th-grade mathematical skills in Geometry, Statistics, and Probability. Help your student find the joy of learning!

Total classes: 14

Prerequisite: NONE, although Quintessential MS Mathematics: Gamified Level 7, Part One or equivalent is encouraged

Suggested grade level: 7th grade (or advanced 6th grade OR an older student in need of a solid foundation)

Suggested credit: One full semester Mathematics

Special Notes: As a GAMIFIED course, students learn through a variety of assignments that include games. This is Part Two of a two-part course. New students can be accepted mid-year if there are available seats.

In addition to class instruction, there will be interactive recorded video lessons.

Description

This is a sound and comprehensive instructional journey in a gamified format. Math can be interesting and fun! Weekly Quests include videos, class instruction, colorful textbook assignments, workbook assignments, Quizlet, & games/puzzles. During Part Two of this course, students will advance and solidify their knowledge of 7th-grade mathematics, problem-solving, and vocabulary related to Geometry, Statistics, and Probability. In addition to the daily homework and making use of the tools mentioned above, there will be 10 Quizzes, 3 Section Tests, and a Final Exam. Following this course, your student can continue exploring the exciting world of gamified math with Advanced MS Mathematics: Gamified Level 8, Part One.

Printed: TWO Books (These are utilized for both Part One and Part Two of this course). Students will need copies of BOTH books. (See https://www.bookfinder.com for the best prices)

Online Resource: Join the Quizlet class for this course and utilize its sets on Quizlet.com (Free student accounts are available.) A link to join the specific Quizlet class for this course will be posted on Moodle.

Homework: Weekly homework will be detailed on a daily basis and will include instructional videos, textbook reading & exercises, class instruction, workbook exercises, Quizlet practice, games/puzzles, and when there isn’t a test or exam, there is a quiz.

This makes for 10 Quizzes, 3 Section Tests, and a Final Exam, all graded on Moodle.

Students should expect to put in a minimum of one hour a day, five days a week for the coursework.

Parents should note that the answer keys in each book are for the students’ use to check themselves as they practice their daily work.
