Intermediate Conversational Spanish, Part Two

Join this high school Intermediate Conversational Spanish course, learning the Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation that allows you to speak the language. Learn vocabulary and phrases related to schools, the body, health, and more!

Prerequisite: Intermediate Conversational Spanish, Part One

Suggested grade level: 8th to 12th grade

Suggested credit: One full semester Spanish or Foreign Language

Description

In this course, students will be taught basic vocabulary with an emphasis on simple verb conjugation and pronunciation. Students will sharpen their speaking and listening skills and further develop their reading and writing skills. By the end of this course, students will be able to form basic sentences, conjugate verbs in future, past, and present tenses, and have the tools to conduct themselves through basic conversations.

Section 2 – School Vocabulary and Review of ser/ estar/ tener/ ir in the Preterit Tense

Section 3 – Analyzation of a School Schedule and Conjugation of regular verbs in the Imperfect Tense

Section 4 – Q/A Session with School Vocabulary and Conjugation of irregular verbs in the Imperfect Tense

Section 5 – School Vocabulary Game and Usage of Preterit Tense vs. Imperfect Tense

Section 6 – Upper Body Vocabulary and Review usage of Preterit Tense vs. Imperfect Tense

Section 7 – Limbs, Illnesses, & Symptoms Vocabulary and Preterit vs. Imperfect in “Goldilocks” story in Spanish

Section 8 – Labeling / Identifying Parts of the Body and continuation of Preterit vs. Imperfect in “Goldilocks”

Section 9 – Q/A Session with Body, Symptoms, & Illnesses Vocabulary and Preterit vs. Imperfect in the story “Superman” in Spanish

Section 10 – Q/A Session of all Vocabulary using aliens and continuation of Preterit vs. Imperfect in “Superman”

Section 11 – Q/A Session of all Vocabulary using aliens and continuation of Preterit vs. Imperfect in “Superman”

Section 12 – Q/A Session of all Vocabulary using aliens and continuation of Preterit vs. Imperfect in “Superman”

Materials and Homework

Course Materials: All course materials are provided FREE by the instructor. A Spanish/English dictionary is recommended.

Homework: Students will be expected to spend about 3 to 5 hours studying per week outside of classes. This is not meant to discourage students. Simply put, repetition is key when learning any new language. Audio files will be expected to be submitted to the teacher.
